PRC says: No LET testing in Bangkok, Thailand

The Professional Regulation Commission, the government in charge of the regulation and supervision of the forty-three (43) professions in the Philippines has announced Friday, September 2, that they will be no testing for Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Last month, a Facebook post urges Filipino teachers in Thailand who have not taken the licensure exam to submit their complete names and courses.  The post said that the PRC will hold the exam in Bangkok on March 2017 if there are more than 200 LET takers who will register.

PRC denied that said advertisement came from their office and that there is no scheduled LET in Bangkok in 2017.

Apparently, the aim of the group was to ask consideration from the PRC to bring the LET in Thailand should they raise enough number of applicants.  Currently, LET is not yet administered to any overseas testing centers.

The licensure exam for teachers for September 2016 will be held simultaneously at the following areas or cities: Batanes, Manila, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Pangasinan, Antique, Laoag,
