Weather bureau PAGASA has released their latest update on Typhoon Karen (international name: SARIKA) as of 5:00 PM of Sunday, October 16.
According to PAGASA, Typhoon “KAREN” has slightly intensified as it moves away from the country. Its estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within 500km diameter of the typhoon. The tropical storm is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight. Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the seaboards of northern Luzon and the western seaboard of central Luzon.
All tropical storm warning signals have been lifted.
Meanwhile, a new typhoon is brewing at the Pacific Ocean and will be called “LAWIN” (international name: HAIMA) once it enters PAR tomorrow afternoon. At 4:00 PM today, Lawin was located at 1,535 km East of Visayas.
PAGASA is expected to release another storm advisory at 11:00 PM.
