A larger part of Cagayan de Oro City is submerged in flood due to heavy downpour brought about by the brewing low pressure area and tail-end of a cold front.

Northern Mindanao, including Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City, and Zamboanga Sibugay have been placed under rainfall warning “Red” over the last few hours by the weather bureau, PAGASA.

Roads have become impassable and flash floods were experienced in areas in CDO and Iligan. Thousands were also stranded in major malls and establishments and vehicles were seen afloat as water level continues to rise and rivers overflow.

Netizens share photos of the CDO and Iligan floods.
