Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao is set to face British boxer Amir Khan on April 23 as confirmed by the two professional fighters in their respective Twitter accounts.
“Negotiations between Team Pacquiao and Team Khan have come to terms for the April 23 bout as this was what the fans wanted #PacquiaoKhan,” Pacquiao posted on his Twitter account Sunday.
Khan, on his end, also announced the highly anticipated fight on his Twitter account. “My team an I have agreed terms with Manny Pacquiao and his team for a super fight,” said the two-time world champ.

Previous reports said that the pound-for-pound king will face Australian Jeff Horn, but Pacquiao wanted his fans and supporters to determine his next opponent. He posted an online poll on his Twitter page about his possible opponents and Khan emerged as most requested.
Khan and Pacquiao go way back with the Briton being the Filipino’s sparring partner during his early days as a welterweight.
The United Arab Emirates has been considered as a possible venue, while Khan’s team believe they could tempt Pacquiao to the Macron Stadium in Manchester.
