Magnitude 3.6 quake jolts Palawan


A magnitude 3.6 earthquake jolts Palawan late Friday evening, March 24.

The strong quake, which was felt at around 10:37 in the evening, was of tectonic origin.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter was located at 10.37°N, 120.30°E – 039 km S 58° E of Araceli, Palawan with depth of 15km.

Damages and aftershocks are not expected according to the state seismologists.
