Almost 5,000 jobs are open for overseas Filipino workers in Qatar according to the Philippine Overseas Employment and Administration (POEA) amid diplomatic crisis among Arab states in the Persian Gulf.

Just recently, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) banned the deployment of Filipino workers to Qatar due to ongoing diplomatic crisis, but was lifted after few days upon consultation with other government agencies such as Department of Foreign Affairs and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO).

The POEA said that Qatar economic growth amidst the political rift still remain strong thus more job vacancies (for overseas workers) are still to be filled up.
