#WalangPasok: Class suspensions on February 16, 2017 (Thursday)


Class suspensions are announced anew due to incessant rains for the past few hours brought about by a tail-end of a cold front affecting Mindanao.

Flooding are expected in some areas as orange rainfall level is observed in Compostella, Compostell Valley, Davao City, Davao Occidental, Davao Del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Sur as per advisory of PAGASA at 3 am today.

Flooding is alarming and landslides may occur is some areas.

Classes are suspended in Davao City from elementary to high school in both public and private schools.

Ateneo de Davao University also announced class suspension in Junior and Senior High School.

San Pedro College has also announced suspension of class in all levels and work in offices.

Other areas with class suspension:

  • Tagum City – elementary and high school, both public and private
  • Panabo City – all levels both public and private
  • Davao del Norte (province-wide)-m – primary and secondary level, both public and private
  • Compostella Valley Province – All levels, both public and private
