Filipina singer Ezra Liz Joy Ng made it to the semifinals of “The Voice” Israel. The seventeen-year old clinched the a semis spot after garnerning the highest number of online votes. Ng is the youngest semifinalist in the competition.
Ng is not new to performing on stage. She had previously performed in many of the activities of the Philippine embassy in Israel. She is slowly gaining recognition among Israelis because of her voice. Since she was a kid, she has been peforming in front of a big crowd of Filipino community members.
According to Ng, it was her friends who encouraged her to join “The Voice Israel”. She is fully supported by the Filipino community in Israel.
Philippine Ambassador to Israel Neal Imperial commended Ng for making Filipinos in Israel proud and for sharing her talent. He said Ng has become an ambassador of goodwill by helping bring together Filipinos and Israelis and by elevating the image of Filipinos in Israel. He assured Ng that she has the Embassy’s full support, adding that the Embassy is encouraging the Filipino community in Israel to continue supporting her in her pursuit of bagging the title of this year’s “The Voice Israel.”
