The upcoming iPhone 8 will have a “design overhaul” with full touch screen and virtual home button.
According to MacRumors, a popular blog for everything Apple-related, said that the new iPhone 8 design will discard the home button in favor of a 5.8-inch screen. The display, however, will have just 5.15 inches of usable space with the rest reserved for virtual buttons.
“The OLED screen will occupy almost the entire front face of the device. Apple will release two other phones with home buttons and dimensions similar to the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus,” according to the report.
The upcoming iPhone will also feature wireless charging and an iris scanner. Further rumors, the fingerprint scanner could be incorporated into the screen.
Apple is expected to retain several feature of the older iPhone version – water resistance and biometric recognition but better.
The price is predicted at $1,000 or Php 54,000.
According to reports, Apple may release this premium phone this year. Philippine release date have not been revealed yet.
