The Professional Regulation Commission or PRC released the results of the February 2017 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination or Medtech board exam on Thursday, three (3) days after the last day of examination.
A total of 2,378 out of 3,216 passed the exams given in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Tuguerarao and Zamboanga on February 26 and 27, 2017.
The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marietta C. Baccay, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration (Read the steps on how to register online). Those who will register are required to bring the following: Notice of admission, duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.
Vanessa Leslie Rivera, a graduate from the Far Eastern University-Manila, topped the said exam released on March 2, with a 91.20% rating.
The Saint Louis University (SLU), Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) and Far Eastern University (FEU)-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, who all got 100% passing percentage, were named as the top performing schools.
