Almost 5,000 jobs are open for overseas Filipino workers in Qatar according to the Philippine Overseas Employment and Administration (POEA) amid diplomatic crisis among Arab states in the Persian Gulf.
Just recently, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) banned the deployment of Filipino workers to Qatar due to ongoing diplomatic crisis, but was lifted after few days upon consultation with other government agencies such as Department of Foreign Affairs and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO).
The POEA said that Qatar economic growth amidst the political rift still remain strong thus more job vacancies (for overseas workers) are still to be filled up.
Nurses remain to be in-demand among the professions in Qatar with about 2,000 job opportunities. They may earn 3,200 Qatari rials (Php 40,000) or more
Skilled workers such as electricians, carpenter, laborer, mason, foreman, mechanic, and welder, among others are also needed due to the ongoing constructions as Qatar gears up as a country host for Fifa World Cup 2022. A total of 4,875 vacancies are available for Pinoys who want to work in Qatar, according to the POEA official website.
An electrician or a mechanical engineer may earn as much as 6,000 Qatari rials or Php 80,000 per month, while a welder may get Php 23,000 monthly income.
