Classes are suspended on November 16 and 17 in Metro Manila due to the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Summit.
There will be no classes in private and public schools during those stated dates, as decided by the Metro Manila Council.
The Metro Manila Council clarified that the Malacañang Palace shall be the one to announce the suspension of work in government offices, should the president decides so.
As of posting time, there’s no word yet from the Palace if November 13, 14, and 15 will be declared non-working holidays in NCR and in other parts of the country.
The 31st ASEAN Summit will take place on 10th to 14th of November in Clark, Pampanga. Top officials of Southeast Asian countries and its partner countries, such as the United States are expected to arrive in the country.
