Julia Barretto has recently addressed a basher via her official Twitter account through an open letter.
In the said letter, Barretto wrote to a certain Jewel Medina for ‘crossing the line’ by meddling on an issue the latter is not fully involved in or aware about. Barretto was referring to a recent issue involving her and her beau Joshua Garcia.

Garcia publicly apologized to Barretto during an interview with Tonight with Boy Abunda for ‘breaking her trust’. Barretto asserted that the issue has been settled and that she and Garcia have already moved on from it.
“Jewel, his is not something I do often because my mom would always say ‘choose your battles’, but you seem to be crossing the line and I’m starting to be concerned about you – with the amount of energy you’re wasting on an issue that both Joshua and I have moved on from and an issue you aren’t fully involved in or aware about,” the letter said.
“I understand how affected you are an same with the rest of you. But I also believe that how it’s affecting you emotionally does not give you the right to attack anyone, particularly me, if you don’t even know what’s happening behind the cameras and social media. You don’t understand the gravity of the situation and you can’t simply hate what you can’t understand,” she added.
Barretto reiterated that fans only little of what’s going on on and off camera.
“Not any one of you know even 1/4 of the things both Joshua and I go through or the beautiful things we share together, for everything you all see and hear are only the things we choose to share.”
“Jewel, I don’t think you understand the amount of love and respect both Joshua and I have for each other. The things we both do to protect each other and that in trials like this how much we hold onto each other for strength just so we don’t give the people who are trying to put us down the power to actually put us down. We will get up and stand up together,” Barretto wrote.
She closed the letter with an advice to Medina to be kind to her soul and focus on positive things and love.
“As for you, Jewel, I hope today treats you well. I hope you focus on the things that will fill your heart up with only positivity and love. Be kind t your soul for how you treat it, will reflect how you treat others.”
Barretto’s letter came after Medina has posted series of Tweets purportedly attacking the former.
Fans like Medina also reacted to a recent comment from Kris Aquino to Garcia during a story con of their upcoming movie, “I Love You, Hater”.
“Can you please behave?” Aquino swiped at Garcia. “Sa ganda ba naman nito?” she asked, while adding: “Sometimes kasi minsan iyong boys hindi naa-appreciate iyong ganito ka-ganda, kailangan mag-try muna ng not-so.” Looking at Garcia, she added: “Huwag mong antayin mawala.” To which, Barretto only replied with a smile.
