World of Dance Philippines: Audition Dates, Venues, Requirements and Online Audition Mechanics

The biggest dance competition in the world is coming to the Philippines!

NBC’s World of Dance opens its doors for Filipino dancers to become one of the world’s best dancers.  Latina superstar Jennifer Lopez, one of the judges of the original and US version of the dance competition, invites all Filipino dancers, amateur or professional, to join the biggest dance show competition on TV.

The World of Dance Philippines will be aired soon on ABS-CBN, Channel 2.

World of Dance Philippines Audition Mechanics

1. The competition is open to all Filipino amateur or professional dancers.
2. Age limit: 8 years or older
3. Genre: All dance style – hip hop, jazz, contemporary, dance sport
4. Open for solo/duo/quadro/group maximum of 20
   • Divisions
     • Junior: 8 to 17 years old for solo/duo/team
     • Upper: 18 above for solo/duo/trio/quad
     • Team: 18 above, 5 to 20 members

May 19, 2018  – Calinog Gymnasium, Poblacion Rizal, Calinog Iloilo

May 20, 2018 – Miag-ao Cultural Hall, Miag-ao, Iloilo

May 22, 2018 – NIPSC Main Campus Gym, Estancia, Iloilo

May 25-26, 2018 – tentative auditions for Bohol

Online Audition Requirements

Aspiring contestants may also audition online for the World of Dance Philippines. The requirements and instructions are as follows:

1. The audition video must be at one minute and 30 seconds dance piece, one music only (it maybe a remix).
2. Email videos or video link to 23.abscbn@gmail.com together with the following information:
   • Name of Dance Group/Dancer (if solo):
   • Hometown:
   • Genre That You Can Dance:
   • Age Bracket:
   • Contact Number:
   • Achievements:
