The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD), released the December 2017 Principal’s Test Result (formerly known as the National Qualifying Examination for School Heads) on Monday, May 28.
A total of 5,111 out of 20,653 (24.75%) passed the 2017 Principals Test given in 22 testing centers nationwide on December 17, 2017.

The examination consisted of situation questions relevant to the role of a school head. The questions consist 200 items anchored on the National Competency-Based Standards for School Heads (NCBSSH). In order to pass the test, takes must obtain a rating of at least 70% in each of the three cluster domains as follows:
Passers will receive their individual Certificate of Rating (COR) through the Quality Assurance Division of their respective regional offices.
The results are final, and the Department shall not entertain requests for rechecking of examination papers, and appeal for recalibration of scores.
Passers can access their official results through DepEd website (www.deped.gov.ph) using their respective examinee number.
