A job portal solely intended for government openings for workers particularly for the government’s Build Build Build program, was launched on Tuesday, spearheaded by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar.
Dubbed as the “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” Portal, the new online portal will serve as job matching platform between potential employers and employees to provide more opportunities to the Filipino people in line with the government’s “Build, Build’ Build” program.
Through the website, available job offers will be accessible to the public as well as the list of requirements and the process of their application.
An initial 11,000 employment opportunities in the infrastructure sector will be available not only for Filipinos here but also for returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) through the Jobs Jobs Jobs portal. Another 100,000 openings will be posted in June as contractors with projects with the DPWH, Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), are expected to post more vacancies in the website.
“They are looking for engineers. The good thing about this job portal is, it’s accessible via internet, so for those who are looking for job, they can apply online,” Villar said.
Villar also assured that the government and private companies will strive to provide right and adequate wage for the workers under the infrastructure program.
Interested applicants may visit the “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” Portal website at www.build.gov.ph for the list of jobs being offered in all infrastructure projects including the 75 flagship projects of the government.
An estimated 2 million construction jobs could be generated by the infrastructure program.
The “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” portal is the second government-managed job matching platform. Applicants who have qualifications for other government jobs may go to www.philjobnet.gov.ph.
