Manila – Former Green Archers Thomas Torres, Norbert Torres, and Jeron Teng were hurt in stabbing incident outside a club in BGC, Taguig City early Sunday morning.
Teng was badly hurt after sustaining three (3) stab wounds in the back, while the two two Torreses (not related) were said to have been stabbed in the arm. According to a source, it was Thomas Torres who suffered a serious injury after he was stabbed in his triceps. The three were rushed to the St. Luke’s Medical Center for treatment and close observation.
According to the police report shown in the media, the incident happened at about 2:30 AM of June 3, 2018 outside Early Night?, a posh bar at the Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Authorities identified three (3) suspects after reviewing CCTV footage; namely Edmar Manalo, Joseph Varona and Willard Basili. The three were arrested by the police.
Initial investigation reveals that the group of Teng was walking at the parking lot of the club when suddenly a group of men (suspects) attacked and stabbed them.
Prior to the incident, Teng was with his fiancee and former team mates inside the Early Night Club. According to a source, the Aces rookie confronted a group of men (presumed to be the suspects) after throwing insulting words to his fiancee.
