Manila – Around 125,000 jobs await job seekers in Independence Day 2018 jobs and business fairs.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announces that around 125,000 job vacancies from private and government sectors will be available for job seekers during the Independence Day 2018 job and business fairs next week.
The labor department, in coordination with local government units, will set up 21 (from previously announced 19) sites 2018 :: ng Kalayaan Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) jobs and business fairs on June 12 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence.

A total of 621 employers (501 local and 120 overseas) affirm their participation in the TNK job fairs. These employers are expected to bring in 63,426 local and 53,636 overseas employment.
The top vacancies for local employment are the following: production machine operator, officer and enlisted personnel (AFP, PNP, NAVY, BJMP), construction worker/laborer, customer service representative, mason (rough/finishing), carpenter (rough/finishing), company driver, service crew, production worker/factory worker, and retail and sales Agent.

For those seeking overseas employment, jobseekers may apply to the following positions: service worker/hotel worker, nurse, engineer, general labor/technician and labor worker. Other jobs offerings will be for positions of forecourt (petrol filler), butcher (supermarket), sales personnel, hospital worker, and carpenter. These jobs are in-demand in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, Japan, Oman, and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, a total of 7,770 vacancies will be offered by the government sector. These offered positions will be as enlisted personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Navy, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

DOLE advises jobseekers to prepare the following documentary requirements and provide extra copies of each for multiple applications:
- resume or curriculum vitae
- 2 x 2 ID pictures;
- certificate of employment for those formerly employed;
- diploma and/or transcript of records; and
- authenticated birth certificate
