Davao City, Philippines – Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte-Carpio warns the public of a fraudulent account under her name.
In an official statement released through the city’s official Facebook page, Duterte-Carpio’s camp alerted the public that the Facebook account “Inday Sarah Duterte-Carpio for 2019 Senator Movement” is not owned or managed by her or her camp, nor is it authorized to represent her.
It has come to the attention of the city mayor’s office that the said social media account has been soliciting money using her name and the organization Tapang at Malasakit Alliance for the Philippines, a group she launched that supported her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, during the 2016 presidential elections.
The mayor advised the public to be vigilant in dealing with organizations and people claiming to represent her because these could be scam.
This is to inform the public that the Facebook account Inday Sarah Duterte-Carpio for 2019 Senator Movement is not owned or managed by me and is not authorized to represent me.
The said social media account has been reportedly soliciting money in my name and the organization Tapang at Malasakit Alliance for the Philippines.
Clearly, it is a social media account created to fool or scam others.
I am asking the public to always be careful in dealing with people or organizations claiming to represent me.
Please do not allow yourselves to become victims of fraudsters.
