Fans of Nadine Lustre will see her in the big screen soon. But this time, a movie without her love team and real life boyfriend James Reid.
Not much details have been revealed regarding the movie, except for the cast and the director. Lustre will headline the new movie along side Kapamilya actors Xian Lim, Marco Gumabao and AJ Muhlach. The movie, titled “Ulan”, is written and will be directed by Irene Villamor, who also directed Camp Sawi, Everything About Her, Meet Me in St. Gallen and the recent box-office success Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story.
During the story conference, held on June 20, the actress refused to divulge details about the storyline, but subtly said that it is all about self-love. The actress also added that she liked the concept of the movie because she, herself, is an advocate of self-love. The actress said it is her first acting gig with Lim and Gumabao and shared they are all excited for the upcoming movie.
Asked how she feels that Reid is not part of the movie, the “Till I Met You” star said that having to work separately will serve as a “stepping stone” for their love team and will make them grow together. Further, she also added that it will also serve as her gauge if she still can perform in movies well without Reid.
JaDine have starred together in several movies in the past such as Ang Diary ng Panget, Talk Back and You’re Dead, and the most recent Never Not Love You.
Reid, on the other hand, will star with Sarah Geronimo in an upcoming film adaptation of Korean movie “Miss Granny”.
Lustre also added that even their JaDine (the moniker for their love team) fans are excited for her new movie without Reid.
The cast is yet to start shooting for the movie. The airing date, as well as the synopsis, has not been revealed yet.
