Days after Momoland, announced their Philippine visit, the famous South Korean girl band surprised their Filipino fans yet again with their new music video “Baam”, which features a bit of Filipino culture.
In their music video released on June 26, one of its members Nancy can be seen waving the Philippine flag, while other members are wearing “baro’t saya” while dancing in front of the iconic jeepney. Nancy has also been tagged as “Liza Soberano lookalike” due to her resemblance with the Filipino actress.
“Baam” features the band members looking for four different colored pieces of jewelry hidden in different countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, France, Egypt and the Philippines. Since its release on Tuesday, the video was viewed more than 5 million times and has become the number 1 trending video in the Philippines.
Momoland has become massively popular in the country after they released their huge hit, “Bboom, Bboom,” five months ago, thanks to the viral videos featuring local celebrities attempting the “Bboom, Bboom” dance challenge. Among whom are Liza Soberano, Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, and Vhong Navarro.
