Taipei, Taiwan – Taiwan extends the trial Visa-free entry program for visitors from the Philippines, Thailand and Brunei for another year according to local media outlets in Taiwan.
The visa-free travel program for all three countries will be extended to July 31, 2019.
Taiwan began the trial program last November 2017 for Philippine passport holders for a period of nine months. Thailand and Brunei passport holders, on the other hand, enjoyed the visa-free program since August 2016.
With the new extensions, the number of days travelers from Thailand and Brunei, however, will be able to stay as tourists in Taiwan visa-free is reduced from 30 days to 14 days. The same number of days as that of travelers from the Philippines currently.
Aside from Taiwan, Philippine passport holders may also travel to 65 more countries visa-free.
