Manila, Philippines – Viva Films releases the official trailer of “Miss Granny,” a Filipino adaptation for the popular 2014 South Korean comedy-drama movie.
The Pinoy version is headlined by Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, and Xian Lim. It is directed by box-office director, Joyce Bernal.
The flick revolves around a woman in her 70s (played by Ms. Nova Villa) who magically finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old self (Geronimo) after having her picture taken at a mysterious photo studio. How she adjusts in a “new, entirely different” era will be tackled in the movie.
The first official trailer released by Viva Films on Friday, has become the #42 trending video in the Philippines.
Miss Granny opens AUGUST 22 in cinemas nationwide.
Aside from the movie itself, fans are also excited for the soundtrack which will surely capture the hearts of Pinoy viewers.
The Pinoy adaptation is just among the few remakes of the movie. An Indonesian and a Vietnamese remake was also previously released. An adaptation is also set for release for the North American market.
