Land Bank branches open on July 22, 2018 (Sunday) to accommodate over-the-counter withdrawals
Manila, Philippines– The Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), in a client advisory, announced that its automated teller machines (ATMs) and online banking has been restored on Sunday, July 22.
The LBP ATM and online channels experienced technical glitch since Friday, July 20. Clients were not able to withdraw from all its ATM terminals for over 24 hours. Electronic banking, that includes paying bills online and accessing the mobile application, was also not available.
No statement on the cause of the problem was released by bank officials yet.
As compensatory measures, select branches nationwide were opened on Saturday, July 21 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM to cater to over-the-counter withdrawals.
The government-owned bank also announced that aside from the restoration of its ATM and electronic banking channels, ALL its branches will be open on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 n.n. with skeletal staff to assist customers should problems arise.
