Manila, Philippines – We have been receiving queries on how can it be possible for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) such as nurses, engineers, and other professionals working abroad, to renew their Professional Identification Card or PRC license?
Gladly, renewing your PRC license ID can now be done online, making it possible for OFW’s to renew their licenses.

How to renew your Professional Identification Card (PIC) online?
Step 1. Register and sign up for an account at the official PRC online website: https://www.prc-online.com/.
Step 2. Enter your valid data.
Step 3. Make sure you enter a valid e-mail ID to receive the verification link to activate your account.
Step 4. Click on the ACTIVATE ACCOUNT button. You will be redirected to the login page. Login with your email and password.
Step 5. Once logged in, you’ll be presented with a form asking for your personal data, education background, professional background, etc. Fill out all the fields with your details. REMINDER: Be careful on filling out your name, once saved, you cannot edit it again.
Step 6. Click on “SAVE INFORMATION” when you’re finished.
Step 7. Upload your passport ID picture. This will be used in printing your PIC, so there’s no need to bring a 2×2 ID. See digital photo specifications below.
Step 8. Once the Personal Details were saved, you may now proceed with the renewal.
Step 9. Click on the RENEWAL tab and click on the drop down menu. Select your PROFESSION.
Step 10. Enter your PRC license number and click proceed.
Step 11. On the next window, you will be asked to choose the branch where you want to pick up your new license and the preferred date and time of pick up.
Step 12. Select your mode of payment. As of posting, credit and debit card payments are not yet allowed. An authorized representative may pay it through any of the the following modes of payment:
- Over the Counter through accredited banks and Bayad Centers.
- Mobile Payment –GCASH
- Online Payments with credit and debit cards are not yet allowed as of posting.
Step 13. After clicking on your preferred mode of payment, a window will pop up with your reference number and the amount you have to pay.
Step 14. Pay this amount using your reference number before the deadline. Keep your transaction number or receipt of payment.
Step 15. Once payment is completed, login to your account and click on the “EXISTING TRANSACTIONS” tab.
Step 16. Click on the “PRINT CLAIM STUB” button.
Step 17. You are DONE with the online process. You may ask an authorized representative to claim your new PIC.
What should your authorized representative bring?
- Claim stub
- Authorization Letter
- Scanned copy of your old PRC ID
- Certificates with CPD units.

Digital photo specifications:
Your 2×2 ID must meet the following specifications:
- The photo must be 2×2 in size in plain WHITE background.
- The photos must be taken no more than 6 months prior to uploading.
- The applicant must wear decent attire with collar.
- Your ID photo must be saved in .jpeg or .jpg formats before uploading.
Application will NOT be processed if:
- Photo does not resemble applicant
- Applicant wears eyeglasses
- Background is not plain white
- Photo has shadows
- Ears are covered.
