MANILA – All BDO ATM, Online and Mobile Banking channels experience system downtime on October 6, 2018, Saturday.
The technical glitch was detected evening of Saturday after clients was unable to withdraw from the automated teller machines (ATM) of BDO Unibank. The bank’s online and mobile banking channels are likewise affected.
In a statement made through its official Facebook page, the country’s biggest bank announced the glich and asked for apology to its clients due to the service interruption.
“We are experiencing a service interruption that is affecting our ATM, Mobile Banking, and Online Banking services. We apologize for this inconvenience and seek your patience while we work to restore these services,” said BDO Unibank.
As of posting, BDO ATMs are unable to dispense cash. Other services such as balance inquiry, machine deposit and PIN change were also interrupted.
When a client attempt to withdraw from the ATM, the machine says that the transaction is being processed. However, after 1 to 3 minutes, the machine says the transaction is completed and releases the ATM card with no bills being dispensed.
Clients can withdraw cash through other bank’s ATM using their BDO ATM cards, however.
No definite time was given when the glitch will be fixed.
