Cagayan Province class suspension on October 29, 2018 #WalangPasok
CAGAYAN – The Office of the Governor announced province-wide class suspension of all levels (from pre-school to graduate school) in both public and private schools on Monday, October 29, in preparation for the anticipated effects of Typhoon Rosita (with international name “Yutu”).
Governor Manuel Mamba says that the class suspension is for the safety of students, following the recommendation of the Provincial Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office or PCCDRRO.
Typhoon Rosita has already entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 6:00 AM on Saturday, October 27. It is anticipated to make landfall at the Cagayan-Isabela Region on Tuesday, October 30.
The cyclone was last spotted at 1,214 km East of Aparri, Cagayan as of 3:00 PM on Saturday. It moves Westward at 25 kilometer per hour and carries a maximum sustained winds of 200 kph near the center with gustiness of 245 kph.
Meanwhile, no class suspension was declared yet in other parts of the country as of posting time.
